Clark, Lavery Garner 2020 All-Louisiana Women's Tennis Recognition

Freshman Mackenzie Clark was voted to the All-Louisiana First Team, while sophomore Adelaide Lavery received recognition as an honorable mention.
A native of Morristown, New Jersey, Clark posted a 13-7 overall singles record, including a 7-2 mark during the spring at No. 1 singles. She finished the season ranked 112th in the ITA national singles poll and was listed in each of the final three polls of the season, reaching as high as No. 101. She became the first Green Wave women's tennis player to crack the ITA national singles rankings since 2014, and defeated 42nd-ranked Taylor Bridges at LSU (Jan. 31). Bridges was honored as this season's LSWA Player of the Year.
During the fall, Clark reached the second round of the singles main draw and the round of 16 in the doubles main draw at the ITA Southern Regional during the fall. In doubles, she went 13-10 overall, including an 8-3 ledger at No. 1 doubles with Lauren Gish in dual match play.
Lavery went 18-9 overall in singles and 9-5 during the spring campaign, including a 6-3 record at No. 2 singles. She led Tulane win total singles wins and dual match victories, while seven of those nine wins during the spring were completed in straight sets. She clinched the deciding match at No. 2 singles in a 4-3 comeback win at UL Lafayette in the final match of the season on March 9 and earned a three-set win at No. 2 singles against 29th-ranked Old Dominion on March 1.
