2019-20 Tulane Athletics Academic Annual Report
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University Athletics Department released its 2019-20 Academics Annual Report which recognizes the accomplishments of Green Wave student-athletes for their efforts in the classroom and the community.
2019-20 Tulane Athletics Highlights
- Tulane posted a department grade point average of 3.405, up from 3.127 just one year ago.
- The baseball team earned the highest team GPA for men's sports with a 3.360.
- The cross country team posted the best team GPA for women's sports, finishing with a 3.718.
- Nineteen Green Wave student-athletes graduated summa cum laude, magna cum laude or cum laude.
- The university's Dean's List included 107 student-athletes
- Student-athletes completed 4,700 hours of community service.
- Each athletics program participated in at least one community service endeavor.
- Tulane finished fourth nationally in the 2020 HelperHelper Challenge Rankings.
- Seven teams finished in the top 10 nationally in community service hours accumulated in their respective sports according to the HelperHelper Challenge including baseball, beach volleyball, football, women's swimming and diving, women's track & field, men's tennis and women's tennis.
