HOUSTON – The Tulane swimming & diving team completed the final day of competition at the Phill Hansel Invitational Saturday at the CRWC Natatorium in Houston.
The Green Wave finished in sixth place out of nine teams with a score of 588.5. Rice University placed first with 1192.
"This weekend was very impressive" head coach Leah Stancil said. "This team showed a lot of courage and competitiveness. We had more lifetime best times from Danielle Titus (200 back), Reese Dunkenberger (200 back), Noa Heron (100 free), Lilly Byrne (100 free), and Christiana Williams (200 breast). Christiana also posted an NCAA B cut in her 200 breast. The team still have technical skills that we need to improve especially in our 50 and 100 events. But, all of our race strategies have been executed very well. Thank you to all of the parents and fans who took the time to come support us this weekend. Everyone's support has such a positive effect on the team's progress. "
