
Golf Closes the First Day at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, ARIZ. – The Tulane University golf team finished the first day of the Mountain View Collegiate at The Preserve at Saddlebrook on Friday, March 19.
The Green Wave posted a 306 and will head to the second day in 13th.
Senior Jennifer Rosenberg and freshman Daozeng Liu were the top finishers for the Olive and Blue at 4-over 76. Both golfers logged two birdies on the day. They will start the second round tied for 49th individually.
Sophomore Carlota Palacios and junior Isabella Cardenas both shot 5-over 77 on the day to tie for 55th. Palacios registered two birdies, while Cardenas had one in the first round.
Sophomore Sandra Vazquez closed the first day tied for 59th at 6-over 78. She birdied the par-4 15th hole.
No. 31 Texas leads all teams at 16-under 272, while No. 20 Houston sits second at 10-under 278. Ashleigh Park from Texas closed the first day with the lead at 6-under 66.
