
Golf Closes Second Round of Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Tulane University women's golf team closed the second day of the Mountain View Collegiate with a total score of 603.

The Green Wave will head to the final round in 12th after posting; a total score of 297 in the second round.

Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Green Wave with a 1-under 71 in the second round. She logged birdies on the par-4 12th and 13th holes today and finished the round with 15 pars. Palacios sits in 34th individually with a total score of 4-over 148 headed into the final round Sunday.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg recorded a 1-over 73 in the second round. She logged birdies on the par-4 fifth, par-5 eighth and par-4 13th holes on the day. Rosenberg will open the final round tied for 35th at 5-over 149.Â

Freshman Daozeng Liu closed the second round tied for 40th overall after posting a score of 2-over 74 in the second round. She registered birdies on the par-4 second, fifth and 15th holes in the round. Liu now has a total score of 6-over 150.

Sophomore Sandra Vazquez currently sits tied for 64th with a total score of 13-over 157, while junior Isabella Cardenas will head to the final round in 67th at 14-over 158.

No. 31 Texas leads all teams at 18-under 558, while No. 36 Iowa State sits second at 11-under 565. Oklahoma States' Maja Stark is the individual leader at 8-under 136. Houston's Zoe Slaughter is second at 7-under 135.
