
Tulane Golf Places 12th at Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – The Tulane University women's golf team placed tied for 12th at the Mountain View Collegiate with a total score of 915.
"Today was disappointing finish to a tough week," Tulane head coach Stew Burke said. "We were short handed in the lineup and it showed. We'll regroup and focus on The Bruzzy moving forward."

Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Green Wave by tying for 39th at 8-over 224. She posted her best round of the tournament with a 1-under 71 in the second round. Palacios logged six birdies over the three days.

Freshman Daozeng Liu placed tied for 51st at 14-over 230. She posted a 2-over 74 in the second round for her low-round of the tournament. Liu registered six birdies over the three rounds.

Sophomore Sandra Vazquez finished tied for 59th at 18-over 234, while junior Isabella Cardenas placed tied for 63rd at 21-over 237.

Senior Jennifer Rosenberg withdrew from the tournament due to injury. She shot 1-over 73 in the second round before withdrawing from the final round. Rosenberg had five birdies during her two rounds.

No. 8 Oklahoma State won the tournament at 20-under 844, while No. 31 Texas placed second at 18-under 846. No. 16 ranked Maja Stark from Oklahoma State took the individual championship at 11-under 205. Houston's Zoe Slaughter claimed runner-up at 8-under 208.

The Green Wave will be back in action on Monday-Tuesday, March 29-30, at The Bruzzy in Argyle, Texas.
