
Tulane Golf Heads to The Bruzzy

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University golf team will head to The Bruzzy Invitational hosted by North Texas from Sunday-Monday, March 28-29.
The tournament will be played at the par-72, 6,421-yard Lantana Golf Club in Argyle, Texas. The field will boast multiple ranked teams, including No. 7 Oklahoma State, No. 16 Miami, No. 17 Houston, No. 21 Texas, No. 29 Iowa State, No. 30 Texas Tech, No. 33 Oklahoma, No. 38 North Texas and No. 42 TCU. SMU, UTSA, Kansas State, Missouri, Colorado and San Diego State will also join the field.
The Green Wave are coming off a 12th place finish at the Mountain View Collegiate last weekend.
Sophomore Carlota Palacios led the Green Wave by tying for 39th at 8-over 224. She posted her best round of the tournament with a 1-under 71 in the second round. Palacios logged six birdies over the three days.
Freshman Daozeng Liu placed tied for 51st at 14-over 230. She posted a 2-over 74 in the second round for her low-round of the tournament. Liu registered six birdies over the three rounds.
Sophomore Sandra Vazquez finished tied for 59th at 18-over 234, while junior Isabella Cardenas placed tied for 63rd at 21-over 237.
