
Bruxvoort Leads Tulane at The Bruzzy

ARGYLE, Texas – Freshman Hannah Rose Bruxvoort led Tulane University women's golf team during the first day at The Bruzzy Invitational at Lantana Golf Club Sunday.

Bruxvoort shot a career-low 3-under 69 in the first round. The Charlotte native recorded the first eagle of her Tulane career with three strokes on the par-5 seventh hole. She also birdied the par-4 12th hole. Bruxvoort did not recorded a hole over-par in the first round and had 16 pars on the round.

The freshman followed up her career round with a 4-over 76 and three birdies in the second. She currently sits tied for 19th going into Monday's final round.

Tulane will head to the final round in 15th with a total score of 606 over the first two rounds.

Freshman Daozeng Liu finished the day tied for 61st. She logged a 4-over 76 in the first round followed by another 4-over 76 in the second. She had three birdies on the day.

Sophomore Sandra Vazquez closed the day tied for 63rd. She registered a total score of 153 in the first two rounds. Vazquez recorded four birdies on the day.

Sophomore Carlota Palacios currently sits tied for 79th, while freshman Miriam Emmert will also head to the final round tied for 79th. Palacios registered four birdies on the day. Emmert had three birdies over the two rounds.

No. 7 Oklahoma State leads all teams at 19-under 557, while No. 38 North Texas sits second at 5-under 571. Oklahoma State's Lianna Bailey leads at 9-under 135, while Lauren Cox from North Texas sits in second at 7-under 137.
