
Tulane Golf Places 15th at The Bruzzy

ARGYLE, Texas – The Tulane University women's golf team finished 15th at The Bruzzy Invitational at Lantana Golf Club on Monday.

Tulane closed the two-day event with a total score of 917.

Freshman Daozeng Liu led the Green Wave with a total score of at 11-over 227 to place tied for 57th. Liu posted her best round of the tournament with a 3-over 75 in the third round on Monday. She was 4-over 76 in the first and second rounds on Sunday. Liu had six birdies over the three rounds.

Sophomore Sandra Vazquez finished tied for 64th with a total score of 13-over 229. She shot 4-over 76 in the final round. Vazquez birdied five holes over the three rounds.

Freshman Hannah Rose Bruxvoort posted a total score of 14-over 230 to finish 68th. She logged the lowest round of her career with a 3-under 69 in the first round. Bruxvoort registered a 4-over 76 in the second round. She recorded seven birdies on the tournament and posted the first eagle of her career in the first round.

Sophomore Carlota Palacios posted a total 239 over the three rounds. Palacios had six birdies over the three-day event.

Freshman Miriam Emmert closed the tournament with a total score of 241. She registered five birdies on the tournament.

No. 7 Oklahoma State took the team title at 15-under 849, while No. 30 Texas Tech finished as the runner-up at 2-under 862. The Cowboys' Lianna Bailey won the individual title at 11-under 205, while North Texas' Audrey Tan, Miami's Nataliya Guseva and San Diego State's Sara Kjellker finished tied for second at 3-under 213.

The Green Wave will be back in action on Monday-Tuesday, April 12-13, at the Houston Oaks Invitational. The tournament will close the regular season for the Green Wave.
