Jun 29, 2021 | Women's Swimming and Diving
NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University swimming and diving team was honored by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) for its academic success during the 2021 spring semester.Â
Â
The Green Wave posted a team grade point average of 3.6 en route to earning Scholar All-America status.Â
Â
"This year had numerous challenges for our team to overcome," head coach Leah Stancil said. "Our team was courageous and resilient with every obstacle and that makes their accomplishment so impressive. This makes me a very proud coach!"
Â
In total, 721 programs from 426 institutions earned the honor. CSCAA will name its individual Scholar All-America team next week.Â
Â
"Coach Stancil once again showed that success in the pool and classroom go hand in hand," CSCAA Executive Director Greg Earhart said. "These are some of the best ambassadors of Tulane and Athletic Director Dannen, President Fitts, and Dr. Michele Adams (Faculty Athletic Representative) can and should be proud of these 24 women."
