
Volleyball Drops Three-Set Match to No. 23 UCF

ORLANDO - The Tulane University volleyball team (8-22) dropped to 3-16 in American Athletic Conference play after a tough three-set loss (23-25, 17-25, 20-2) to UCF (26-1; 18-1) on Wednesday afternoon at the Venue in Orlando, Florida.
The Green Wave offense hit .235 in the match and held the Knights to a .323 attack percentage. Outside hitter Melissa Kolurbasi led the Wave with 13 kills, hitting .324 overall.
Ilayda Demirtas also got in her fair share of kills with eight and a .467 hitting percentage. The Green Wave got defensive production with ten total blocks from Skyler Bumpers and Kolurbasi.
Libero Jillian Dits carried the defensive duties with 17 digs and wo assists. Freshman setter Kathrine Crosley tallied 27 assists in this match.
The Green Wave dropped the match, posting 34 kills, 34 assists, 45 digs, six blocks, and a 24.2% passing rate.
Tulane will be back on the court for the final time in the 2022 season to face the South Florida Bulls on Friday. The match is set for Friday at 6 p.m.
