
Freeman Earns AAC Weekly Honor Roll Selection

Redshirt senior Krystal Freeman averaged 17.5 points and eight rebounds in a 2-0 week for the Green Wave.
NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University women's basketball redshirt senior Krystal Freeman was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office.
Freeman earned the honor after leading the Green Wave to a 2-0 week while averaging 17.5 points, 8.0 rebounds, and 1.5 blocks. She put on a strong shooting performance connecting at a 52.0 percent clip from the field including going 6-of-12 from beyond the arc on the week.
The Pineville, Louisiana native began the week by recording a season-high 28 points to lead the Wave to a 76-74 win over Memphis on the road on Thursday, February 10. Freeman put on a shooting clinic against the Tigers hitting 57.9 (11-19) percent of her shots from the field and knocking down 4-of-7 from downtown. She also made an impact on the glass with nine rebounds and on the defensive end of the floor recording two blocks against Memphis. Freeman followed that performance by dropping seven points and seven rebounds in a dominant 80-56 Tulane home victory over Cincinnati on Sunday, Feb. 13. The redshirt senior added a pair of assists and another block against the Bearcats as the Green Wave extended its winning streak to five games.
This is Freeman's first weekly conference honor this season and the 15th time she has earned a weekly AAC honor in her career.
The Green Wave will be back in action this Wednesday, February 16, as it travels to Tulsa, Oklahoma, to face the Golden Hurricanes. Tipoff between Tulane and Tulsa is set for 6:30 p.m. CT and will be aired on ESPN+. Fans also can listen to the games live on the Tulane Sports Network from Learfield on 88.3 WRBH with Gus Kattengell or streaming on the Tulane Athletics App and The Varsity Network App.
