
Tulane Swimming and Diving Heads to Dallas For AAC Championships

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane swimming and diving heads to Dallas this week to compete in the American Athletic Conference Championships.
The events kick off tomorrow Feb 16th, at 10:50 a.m. CT and will be aired live on ESPN+.
Tulane heads into the event after a season full of career bests. Lilly Byrne posted a NCAA B-Cut time of 4:47.05 at the Phill Hansel Invitational in the 500 freestyle. Christiana Williams also posted a NCAA B-Cut time of 2:13.55 in 200 breaststroke.
Sophomore Danielle Titus took first place in every 100-yard backstroke she swam in this season. Titus also clocked her career-best in the 200-yard backstroke at 1:57.46.
In diving, Paige McKenzie had a record-breaking weekend on January 21st in Houston, finishing in second earning an overall score of 304.50, a career-best and a new Tulane record.
Noa Heron and Lilly Byrne have also been consistent competitors all season. Both earned season-best times in the 100-yard freestyle at the Phill Hansel Invitational in November. Byrne clocked in at 51.36 and Heron at 52.14.
Heron also won the 1000-yard freestyle in the first three meets of the season.
Reese Dunkenberger also clocked a career-best time this season. The freshman hit the wall at 2:03.98 in the 200-yard breaststroke.
The Green Wave will be in Dallas for a full four days of events.
