NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University women's basketball redshirt senior guard Moon Ursin was named to the American Athletic Conference Weekly Honor Roll on Monday by the league office.
Ursin earned the honor after leading the Green Wave to a 2-0 week while averaging 18.0 points, 5.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals. She connected at an impressive 56.5 percent clip from the field and knocked down 10-of-12 from the charity stripe on the week.
The Destrehan, Louisiana native began the week by leading the team with 18 points on 61.5 percent (8-of-13) shooting and added five rebounds and four assists in a dominant 97-43 non-conference win at home over Tougaloo College on Wednesday. Ursin then turned in another 18-point performance to help the Green Wave snap a 19-game losing streak against USF on Sunday. She shot 50.0 percent (5-of-10) from the field and 80.0 percent (8-of-10) from the free throw line while adding six rebounds and a pair of assists in Tulane's 67-55 road win over the Bulls.
