
Tulane Sailing In Action In the Northeast This Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane University sailing COED and women's teams will be back in action this weekend for a pair of separate regattas in the northeast. The Green Wave COED team will race in the John Jackson Memorial Team Race hosted by Georgetown while the Tulane women's crew will compete in the Navy Spring Women's Team Race in Annapolis, Maryland.
The John Jackson Memorial Team Race will feature a cross regional regatta on Saturday and Sunday, March 12-13. The Wave is among eight teams competing in the regatta including four teams that finished in the final top 20 Sailing World fall rankings along with Tulane. The Green Wave COED teamis coming off a fourth-place finish at the Bob Bavier Team Race hosted by College of Charleston on March 5-6.
The Tulane women's team will compete in the Navy Spring Women's Team Race starting on Sunday after the event was postponed one day due to weather. The Green Wave will be among 11 teams on the waters in Annapolis, Maryland. Ten of the 11 teams in the regatta, including Tulane, finished in the top 20 of the final Sailing World fall rankings.
Following the action this weekend, the Green Wave COED and women's teams will be back in the northeast March 19-20. The Wave COED squad will compete in the Graham Hall Team Race hosted by Navy and the Tulane women's crew will take part in the SMC Women's Fleet Race at Saint Mary's College.
