
Margot Temines and Megan Fitzgerald Named All-Louisiana for Tulane’s Outdoor Track & Field Program

NEW ORLEANS – Both Margot Temines and Megan Fitzgerald of Tulane's outdoor track & field program were named All-Louisiana by the Louisiana Sports Writers Association (LSWA) this afternoon, August 5.
Temines achieved the top heptathlon score in the entire state of Louisiana with her 5,413 points recorded at the 2022 American Athletic Conference (AAC) Outdoor Championships. The mark also was an All-AAC one as she finished third overall in the competition. Individually, Temines also recorded the team's best individual marks in the indoor long jump (5.75m) and the outdoor high jump (1.70m) during the 2022 season. Additionally, she had the team's second-best performances in the outdoor 100m hurdles (14.30) and the outdoor long jump (5.79m) plus ranked third on the squad in the shot put (13.26m).
Fitzgerald had the third-best mark in the state in the pole vault during the 2022 outdoor campaign with her 13'0.25" achieved at the 2022 AAC Outdoor Championships. Her vault at the championships placed her third overall in the competition and was an All-AAC mark. Fitzgerald also placed third on the team in the indoor pole vault with 3.70m.
