FINAL STATS

COLLEGE STATION, TX – On Friday afternoon, the Tulane women's tennis team took on the first of two top-five opponents this weekend, suffering a 7-0 setback to fifth-ranked Texas A&M in College Station.

However, the Green Wave's fantastic doubles tandem of Charlotte Russell and Lahari Yelamanchili picked up right where it left off last spring and emerged with a 6-3 win at No. 1 doubles over the Aggies' Salma Ewing and Jayci Goldsmith.

The contest was the first of the spring for the Green Wave, while the hosts improved to 3-0.

The road certainly doesn't get any easier on Sunday as Tulane heads for Austin and takes on top-ranked Texas at 11 a.m.
