HARAHAN – The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team had a strong Sunday in winning a pair of bracket matches to end up in fourth place of the 2023 Colonial Lanes Classic. The program ended up the tournament with a 10-3 record.
The Green Wave started the day with a thrilling 4-3 victory over Stephen F. Austin. The program trailed 3-2 before rallying to take the sixth game and the seventh game. The individual game scores were 201-173, 215-242, 158-210, 195-170, 145-215, 209-203 and 207-172.
Tulane kept the momentum going with a dominate 4-1 victory over Sam Houston State in the next round. The individual game scores were 200-159, 218-163, 171-236, 234-169 and 224-117.
After an extended break following a quick finish of the previous match, the Green Wave lost 4-1 in the third-place match to Oklahoma Christian. The individual game scores were 172-242, 201-224, 198-204, 211-161 and 155-238.
Tulane will next compete in the Destination Orlando from Oct. 27-29 in a tournament hosted by Sacred Heart.
