
No. 22 Bowling Starts 4-1 At Destination Orlando Tournament

Orlando– The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling had a strong opening day of the Destination Orlando Tournament, held at AMF Sky Lanes, in recording a mark of 4-1 against the competition and totaling 4953 pins. The pin total places the Green Wave in seventh place overall.
The team is averaging 198.1 pins per game and topped 1000 pins in two of the five matches. Jacksonville State leads the field of 18 with 5400 pins following the five baker matches.
Tulane started the day with a 1033-986 victory over Alabama A&M.
The Green Wave fell in the second match of the day to the reigning NCAA Champion Vanderbilt Commodores 1037-975.
Tulane got back to the winning ways in the third match with a 944-929 victory over Sacred Heart.
The fourth match was a 977-969 close victory over Fairleigh Dickinson.
The program completed the day with a 1024-823 win over Florida A&M.
The second day of the tournament, for traditional play, sees Tulane starting the day with a positional round within their pool (1st vs. 2nd, 3rd vs. 4th, etc.). In the second match of the day and the seventh match overall, the program takes on Duquesne in lanes 27-28. In the third match of the day and the eighth overall, Tulane and Texas Southern square off in lanes 29-30. The fourth match of the day and the ninth overall see Tulane and Saint Francis competing against each other in lanes 13-14. The fifth match of the day and the 10th overall is against Jacksonville State in lanes 5-6.
