
Druchyna Leads No. 22 Bowling On the Second Day of the Destination Orlando Tournament

ORLANDO – The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling competed and went 1-4 on the second day of the Destination Orlando Tournament at AMF Sky Lanes, The program is placed ninth overall with 9,660 pins. The team had 4,707 pins on the second day.
The Green Wave started the day well with an 986-878 victory over Arkansas State. The team then lost the next four games by scores of 1069 to Duquesne, 851-837 to Texas Southern, 951-931 to Saint Francis and 1046-1014 to Jacksonville State.
Sofiia Druchyna led the program with her 1027 pins to rank 26th overall. She had individual games of 167, 235, 190, 211 and 224.
Katharina Mente also finished in the top 30 as she placed 29th with 1020 pins. She had individual games of 258, 177, 190, 181 and 214.
Mia Stolakis placed 69th with a 740. She had individual games of 208, 181, 169, 0 and 182.
Kristen Derr earned 70th place with a 737. She had individual games of 191, 172, 0, 172 and 202.
Morgan Gitlitz placed 90th with a 485. Her individual games were 0, 174, 119, 0 and 192
Emma Fetterman earned 95th place with a 343. She had individual games of 162, 0, 0, 181 and 0
Linnea Holcomb took 103rd with a 186. In her only game of the day.
Yarelis Alvarez placed 107th with a 169 in her only game.
On the third day, teams will compete in three rounds of match play in a playoff bracket. Each of the rounds in match play will be a best-of-seven baker match.
