
Women's Tennis Releases Spring 2024 Schedule

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University Women's Tennis head coach Maria Brito announced the team's 2024 spring slate on Wednesday.
The Green Wave will compete in twenty-three dual matches and one conference tournament with the chance to play in a national championship pending qualifications.
To open the spring schedule the Wave will host four home matches in January against McNeese on the 20th, ULL on the 25th and a double header on the 27th against Northwestern State and Southern University.
In February the Olive and Blue will host a home match on the 3rd against Alabama before traveling to three consecutive away matches, including LSU on the 5th, Tulsa on the 9th and Wichita State on the 11th. Tulane will return home to finish out February with a home match against conference rival USF on the 18th, followed by two home competitions versus SEC teams Mississippi State and Ole Miss on the 23rd and 25th, respectively.Â
The Wave will begin March on the road in Florida, facing Florida Atlantic on the 1st and Florida International on the 3rd. They will return home to host fellow Louisianan team ULM on the 8th before competing against new conference rival UAB on the 10th in City Park. Tulane is set for their second and final double header in New Orleans on March 16th against Alcorn State and will continue home match play as they host UNO on the 17th and Jackson State on the 22nd. The Green Wave will close out their busiest month of the season as they travel to Mobile, Alabama to take on the South Alabama Jaguars.Â
April will see three dual matches versus North Texas on the 7th, Nicholls on the 10th and at Memphis on the 12th before the Wave is set to compete in the AAC Championship tournament in Dallas, Texas from April 17th-20th.Â
Tulane returns all but one from the 2022-23 season after posting a 7-11 record in the spring 2023 dual match season. Among the returners are doubles partners Lahari Yelamanchili and Charlotte Russell who finished as the No. 71 doubles team in the nation. The Wave also added newcomer Delanie Tribby, who was ranked No. 12 in Florida and crowned the 2023 Class 4A Doubles Champion, while climbing as high as No. 56 nationally in singles.
