HOUSTON, TX – The second-seeded Charlotte women's tennis team continued its torrid winning clip Friday, blanking seventh-seeded Tulane 4-0 Friday afternoon in quarterfinal action at the 2026 American Conference Championship in Houston.

The tournament is being hosted by Rice University at George R. Brown Tennis Center.

With the win, the 49ers improved to 22-3 and will advance to Saturday's semifinal round. Tulane finished its season at 11-12.

Charlotte took the doubles point with wins at Nos. 1 and 2.

The 49ers clinched the match with triumphs at Nos. 3, 5 and 6 singles. Tulane's Summer Chandler was three points from victory at No. 2 when Charlotte got the clincher at No. 6.

The Green Wave advanced to Friday's round by virtue of its 4-1 win over 10th-seeded UTSA.
