
A Career Night From Jalen Cook Leads Tulane Past South Florida

TAMPA, Fla. – Tulane men's basketball (17-7, 10-3) won its fifth straight game with a 84-66 win over South Florida on Saturday night in the Yuengling Center.
10 AAC wins ties the teams total from last season. With five games left remaining in the regular season.
Jalen Cook scored a career high 30 points, adding on seven assists and five rebounds. Kevin Cross recorded his second straight double-double with 19 points and 13 rebounds, the junior also tagged on 6 assists. Jaylen Forbes joined Cross and Cook in double figures with 15 points.
Tulane turned the ball over a season low four times, while stealing the ball 11 times.
The Wave got off to a slow start, not hitting a single three in the entire first half or recording single offensive rebound. Cook was the only spark, with 17 points and five assists in the first half. Tulane would head to the locker room with a 35-31 lead.
Forbes would draw first blood in the second half draining Tulane's first three pointer of the game. South Florida would try to stick around but back-to-back threes from Tulane would put them up 14 midway through the half.
The Wave would pull away late in the second and secure the win.
Tulane heads to Houston next Tuesday with a 8 p.m. tip time.
