Green Wave Blitzes Warhawks, 6-1

NEW ORLEANS – The Tulane women's tennis team made quick work of visiting ULM in doubles and carried that momentum into singles action to complete a 6-1 victory Saturday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Center.

The Green Wave improved to 2-2 overall, while the Warhawks dipped to 1-4.

The No. 1 doubles tandem of Lahari Yelamanchili and Charlotte Russell cruised a 6-0 win and Adelaide Lavery and Jiayun Zhu followed suit with a 6-3 triumph to claim the opening point for the home team.

All four also won their singles matches and Brooke Theis added a 6-1, 6-1 victory at No. 6 as well.

ULM's Alice Klinteby give the Warhawks their only point of the day with a 6-4, 3-6 (10-4) win over Kristen Borland at No. 3.

The Green Wave is back in action Monday at 3 p.m. when it faces crosstown rival New Orleans. UNO improved to 3-0 on Friday when it knocked off ULM 4-3 at Privateer Tennis Center.
