
No. 22 Bowling Falls to Arkansas State in the First Round of the Southland Bowling League Tournament

Rowlett, TX – The No. 22 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team lost both the traditional contest and the baker match to Arkansas State in the first round of the Southland Bowling League Tournament on Friday morning.
The day started with a traditional game, which saw the seventh-seeded Green Wave fall by a 1009-906 score to the second-seeded Red Wolves.
The second of the tournament's best-of-the-three format saw Arkansas State defeat Tulane by a combined score of 931-921 to earn the victory. The individual game scores were 212-179 (Arkansas State), 216-171 (Arkansas State), 196-174 (Tulane), 178-151 (Tulane) and 179-178 (Tulane).
In the traditional team scoring round the scores against ASU were Amelia Vasquez 170, Yarelis Alvarez 165, Sofiia Druchyna 171, Katharina Mente 154 and Mia Stolakis 246.
In the baker scoring round the scores were 197, 171, 196, 178 and 179.
The Green Wave will now play an elimination match against Louisiana Tech at 1:30 p.m. in the second round. The winner advances and takes on the loser of Stephen F. Austin and Arkansas State in the third round on Saturday morning at 8:30 a.m.
