
Kristen O'Handley hurls the javelin Saturday en route to an All-American performance at this weekend's NCAA Championships.
O’Handley Earns All-American Status with Heptathlon Performance

AUSTIN, TX – Kristen O'Handley finished off her All-American performance in the Heptathlon with 5,598 points following the second day of action on Saturday at the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Track and Field Championships at Mike Myers Stadium.
She posted a 5.50-meter long jump to place 22nd in that event and followed it with an 18th-place showing in the javelin throw with her toss of 32.91 meters. Her final event, the 800 meters, was her best performance of the day with a time of 2:18.57. That was the sixth-fastest time of the event.
This was O'Handley's second All-American nod this season. She received the same status by finishing seventh overall in the Pentathlon during the Green Wave's indoor season.
