Bowling’s Mia Stolakis Finishes Third at the 2023 Teen Masters Championships

Final Standings
Detroit, Michigan – Tulane's Mia Stolakis placed third overall at the 2023 Teen Masters Championships last week in Detroit, Michigan at Thunderbowl Lanes. The five days of competition went from July 22-28.
Stolakis totaled 7,365 pins in 36 games for an average of 196.3. She had 1,257 pins (day 1), 1,105 pins (day 2), 1,263 pins (day 3), 1,162 (day 4) and 2,278 (day 5). Only the top 25% made it to the fourth day, while the fifth day consisted of match play. Her overall match play record was an impressive 10-1.

This was the 26th Teen Masters Championships which is part of the North American Championships. To compete in the Teen Masters, all competitors must be 19 years old and younger and be an amateur in playing status.
For the completed 2022-23 season, Morgan Gitlitz led the team with 7,992 total pins. Amelia Vasquez had the highest average on the squad at 195.8, while Stolakis recorded the highest individual performance with her 266 against UMES (10/15). Tulane sported an overall 71-51 record this season.
