
Women's Tennis Wins in Three Set Comeback

New Orleans - Women's tennis remains undefeated after a two match weekend versus Southern and Northwestern State after Kristen Borland completed a three set comeback win to seal a 4-3 victory.
Doubles began with a quick 20-minute 6-1 win from the duo of Zhu/Barber on court two. Northwestern State secured a win on court three to tie up the score before Yelamanchili/Borland sealed the point for the Wave in a 7-5 win.
In singles, Cora Barber and Lahari Yelamanchili completed quick 6-0, 6-0 and 6-0, 6-1 victories on courts three and one to give Tulane the early 3-0 lead. Northwestern State secured wins on courts four through six, leaving the final decision to Kristen Borland on court two. After losing the first set 4-6, Borland fought hard in the second set to win 77-63. Borland would go on to win the third set 6-1 to keep Tulane undefeated in spring matchplay.
