
No. 12 Bowling Goes 2-3 On First Day At Stormin’ Blue and White Classic

Las Vegas, Nevada –  The No. 12 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team started off with a 2-3 record on the opening day of the Stormin' Blue and White Classic, held at South Point Las Vegas, on Monday. The team had 4,609 pins and are in 12th place overall.
The team is averaging 184.36 pins per game and topped 900 pins in four of five matches.
Tulane started the day falling 959-906 to Stephen F. Austin. The individual game scores were 176-216, 177-128, 208-176, 175-193 and 176-246.
The Green Wave won the second match by a 968-930 score over Southern. The individual game scores were 177-192, 200-169, 159-190, 197-205 and 235-174.
Tulane fell in third match by a 915-879 score to Maryville. The individual game scores were 169-171. 167-148, 189-191, 170-228 and 184-177.
Tulane got back to the winning ways in the fourth match by 915-759 to Saint Anselm. The individual game scores were 188-148, 164-171, 214-146, 168-125 and 181-169.
The fifth match was a 1075-941 victory by Jacksonville State. The individual game scores were 185-210, 174-176, 196-256, 179-205 and 207-219.
The second day of the tournament, for traditional play, sees Tulane starting the day against Mt. Saint Mary's on lanes 55-56 in the sixth match. In the second match of the day, and the seventh match overall, the program takes on Adelphi in lanes 53-54. In the third match of the day, and the eighth overall, Tulane and Merrimack squad off in lanes 49-50. The fourth match of the day, and the ninth overall, sees Tulane and Oklahoma Christian competing against each other in lanes 35-36. The fifth match of the day, and the 10th overall, is against Duquesne in lanes 51-52.
