Green Wave Sits in 10th at the Dale McNamara Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – After 36 holes on the first day of the Dale McNamara Invitational Tulane golf holds 10th place among the 16 teams in the field. The Green Wave carded a 612 (+44) through the first two rounds of the tournament on Monday at Cedar Ridge Country Club.

Cristina Albertazzi paced the Wave on Monday shooting a 71 (E) in the first round and a 75 (+4) in the second round. She posted seven birdies through her first 36 holes to land tied for 13th overall at +4 (146) at the end of the day.

Also landing in the top 30 at the end of the opening day of the tournament was Matilde Innocenti who sits tied for 30th at +9 (151) through two rounds. She tallied four birdies in her first round to post a 72 (+1) and followed that with a pair of birdies in the second round to shoot a 79 (+8).

The next player on the leaderboard for Tulane was Gabriella Gilrowski who is tied for 43rd overall at +13 (155) through 36 holes. Gilrowski opened with a 79 (+8) in her first round before bouncing back with a 76 (+5) in round two.

Rounding out the group for the Green Wave on Monday were Francesca Pompa at +18 (160) and Sophia Yi-Ju Chen at +22 (164). Pompa carded a 79 (+8) in the first round and an 81 (+10) in the second to land tied for the 66th at the end of the day. Chen posted two rounds of 82 (+11) on Monday to end the opening day tied for 77th overall.

The Wave will be back on the course for the third and final round of the tournament Tuesday morning. Teams are set to tee off in a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m.
