Wave Finishes 14th at Dale McNamara Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – In the final tournament of the fall 2024 season, Tulane golf finished 14th in the field of 16 teams at the Dale McNamara Invitational on Tuesday. The Green Wave posted a 321 (+37) in the third and final round of the tournament to end the 54-hole event at the Cedar Ridge Country Club with a total team card at +81 (933) overall.
The top performer in the tournament for the Wave was freshman Cristina Albertazzi who tied for 39th overall. She carded a total three-round score of 230 (+17) after posting a 71 (E) in the first, a 75 (+4) in the second, and an 84 (+13) in the third. Albertazzi led the Green Wave in the tournament with eight total birdies.
Up next on the leaderboard for Tulane at the end of the day Tuesday were Gabriella Gilrowski and Matilde Innocenti who landed tied for 47th at +21 (234). Gilrowski notched five birdies during the 54-hole tournament while posting rounds of 79 (+8), 76 (+5), and 79 (+8). Innocenti paced the Green Wave in par 3 scoring averaging 2.92 strokes on the par 3's and finished second on the team with seven birdies. Her final card for the tournament included a 72 (+1) in the first round, a 79 (+8) in the second, and an 83 (+12) in the third.
Francesca Pompa moved up the leaderboard during the third round climbing eight spots to finish the tournament tied for 58th with a 54-hole total of 237 (+24). She recorded her best round of the event on Tuesday carding a 77 (+6) in the final round after opening with a 79 (+8) and an 81 (+10) on Monday.
The final player in the field for the Wave was Sophia Yi-Ju Chen who moved up one spot to tie for 76th overall. She ended the tournament at +33 (246) after recording three consecutive rounds of 82 (+11).
Tulane will return to action for its 2025 spring campaign in February for the FAU Paradise Invitational. The tournament will be hosted by Florida Atlantic in Boca Raton, Florida, on February 3-4.
