Nov 19, 2024 | Track & Field
NEW ORLEANS - The Tulane track & field program announced its 2024-25 indoor and outdoor schedule on Tuesday afternoon.
"Our staff is really excited about the 2024-25 Indoor and Outdoor Track & Field schedule," director of cross country / track & field Adrian Myers said. "After a very successful fall season, we anticipate the momentum to carry onto the track during the spring. Our aspirations as a program are to be a three-season threat for an AAC Championship. We also want to put our elite athletes in front of the best competition in the NCAA in order to best prepare them for that stage down the road. Our standard here is winning championships. This will be a historic track season worth following."
The indoor season begins on December 6 with the Birmingham Indoor Ice Breaker, followed by the Boston Opener on December 7.
After the holidays, the team returns to action on January 11 at the UAB Blazer Invitational in Birmingham, Alabama.
The following weekend, January 17-18, the program heads to Nashville for the Vanderbilt Invitational.
The squad then travels to Houston for the Fastrak Athletix Indoor Invitational on January 25. Closing out January, the team competes at the Boston Terrier Invitational on January 31-February 1.
February begins with back-to-back meets hosted by Harvard: the Crimson Elite on February 7 and the Crimson Open on February 8. The next weekend, February 14-15, the program travels to Chicago for the Windy City Invitational.
The LSU Twilight meet is scheduled for February 21 in Baton Rouge, alongside the Boston DMR Challenge on the same day.
The indoor season culminates with the American Athletic Conference (AAC) Indoor Championships from February 28-March 1 in Birmingham, Alabama, and the NCAA Indoor National Championships from March 13-14.
The outdoor season kicks off on March 21-22 with the Louisiana Classics in Lafayette, Louisiana, followed by a trip to North Carolina for the Raleigh Relays from March 27-29.
On April 4-5, the team will participate in the Stanford Invitational and the Doc Anderson Invitational at Troy University.
The following week, on April 11-12, the team competes at the South Florida Invitational before splitting squads for two major meets: the Bryan Clay Invitational and Mt. SAC Relays, both held from April 17-19 in California.
The Drake Relays are next on the schedule, April 24-26, in Des Moines, Iowa, while another group travels to Orlando for the Knights Invitational during the same weekend.
