Tulane Sends Four to ITA South Sectional Championships

TOURNAMENT CENTRAL
ATHENS, GA – The Tulane women's tennis team will have four players participating at this week's ITA South Sectional Championships in Athens, Georgia. The tournament will be contested at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex.
Summer Chandler, Micah Pierce, Campbell Ricci and Leigh Van Zyl will all be in doubles action, starting at 8 a.m. CT on Thursday. Van Zyl and Ricci will play Anaelle Leclercq and Ludmila Kareisova of Ole Miss in the 16-team draw, while Chandler and Pierce play second-seeded Valeria Ray and Bridget Stammel of Vanderbilt.
Chandler and Ricci will also appear in the singles draw, which consists of 32 players. Chandler's first opponent will be Georgia Tech's Scarlett Nicholson, while Ricci will see Nicole Teodosescu of Indiana in the first round. The start times for those matches have not yet been announced.
