
Men’s Tennis Set to Take on Rice in their Home Opener

NEW ORLEANS- Green Wave men's tennis team (0-2) will host conference rival, Rice University (3-2) this Saturday to open up the home 2024 competition.
This past weekend, Tulane was defeated by Baylor and Miami in their season opener. Tulane's doubles pair which consisted of Luka Petrovic and Billy Suarez, went undefeated on the weekend. Suarez also picked up a dominant win against Miami on court one.
The Green Wave is ready to bounce back against Rice on Saturday at 10 AM. Rice heads to New Orleans with a 3-2 record with two wins over Prairie View and a win over Lamar. However, the Owls are on a two-game losing streak, being swept by #5 TCU and Princeton.
The last time the Owls and the Green Wave faced off was in 2023. Tulane defeated Rice 4-3.
The match will be played at City Park Tennis Center.
