
No. 12 Bowling Goes 2-3 on the First Day of the Flyer Classic

Lockport, Illinois –  The No. 12 nationally ranked Tulane University bowling team started off with a 2-3 record and rank ninth following the opening day of the Flyer Classic, held at the Strike and Spare II in Lockport, Illinois, on Friday. The team has a total of 4592 pins.
The team is averaging 183.7 pins per game and topped 900 pins twice. A total of 20 teams are competing in the Flyer Classic this year.
Tulane started the day with an 881-867 victory over Aurora.
The team fell to Sam Houston State in the second match by a 955-867 margin.
The Green Wave rebounded with their best match of the day in topping Maryville 1029-992 in the third match.
The program fell to McKendree by a 974-947 margin in the fourth match.
The host school Lewis topped Tulane 966-872 in the fifth match of the opening day.
The second day of the tournament, for traditional play, sees Tulane starting the day with Dominican in the sixth match in lanes 7-8. In second match of the day, and the seventh match overall, the program takes on Wright State in lanes 23-24. In the third match of the day, and the eighth overall, Tulane and Augustana squad off in lanes 5-6. The fourth match of the day, and the ninth overall, sees a match-up with Newman in lanes 31-32. The fifth match of the day, and the 10thh overall, is against Carthage in lanes 25-26.
