
Wave Bests Bulls in 4-3 Clinch

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane Women's Tennis (5-3) took down the South Florida Bulls (4-5) on Sunday in a 4-3 nail biter.Â
The Green Wave didn't give up a single match in doubles as the duo of Barber/Clark won 6-3 on court three and Yelamanchili/Borland took down their opponents on court one in a 7-5 win to take the doubles point.
The Olive and Blue surrendered the first two singles points on courts five and two before Lahari Yelamanchili tied it back up on court one with a 6-3, 6-3 win. USF would take another point to go up 3-2 until Brooke Theis battled back in the second set on court six to win her match 6-4, 7-5 to tie it up three-all. The match came down to court four with Cora Barber battling back after being down a set to force the third set. Barber would end up taking the final set in a dominant 6-1 victory to win the match for Tulane, her second time clinching against a conference opponent in just two weeks.Â
Up next, the Wave will take on Mississippi State (7-2) on Friday at 1 PM.Â
