Women's Tennis Clinches Match 4-3 in Third Set Tiebreaker

TULSA, Okla. - Tulane Women's tennis downed Tulsa 4-3 after a thrilling tiebreaker win on court four.

Tulane took the doubles point as Russell/Tribby won the first match on court three and the duo of Barber/Clark won the match on court two to take the doubles tally to 2-1.

The Wave suffered the first point in singles, but Charlotte Russell was able to give Tulane the 2-1 as she won on court five at 6-4, 6-3. After giving up two more points to give Tulsa a 2-3 lead, Lulu Zhu won 6-4, 6-2 on court six to tie up the match at 3-all. Everything was left to Cora Barber on court four who had one the first set but dropped the second set to the Golden Hurricane's Naranjo Martinez to force a third set. The third set came to a 6-6 battle, but Barber fought to win the tiebreaker 8-6 to clinch the match for the Green Wave.
