#72 Women's Tennis Bests Jackson State

New Orleans - #72 Women's Tennis (10-6) bested Jackson State on Friday at home.
The Wave started off strong, gaining the doubles point after wins on courts one and two courtesy of duos Yelamanchili/Borland and Clark/Barber in just under thirty minutes.
In singles, Tulane would take four straight points from Clark on court two, Russell on court five, Theis on court six and Yelamanchili on court one to clinch the match plus one for the Green Wave. Courts three and four featured three-set battles from Borland and Barber, who both went down a set before fighting back in the second set to force a third. Barber would overcome her opponent in the third set 10-7, while Borland fell short in a 10-3 tie-breaker to give Jackson State their lone point of the day.Â
The Green Wave will travel to Mobile, Alabama to take on South Alabama on Wednesday.
