Bowling Falls to North Carolina A&T 4-1 in Round 1 of the USBC Intercollegiate Team Championships

Jeffersontown, Kentucky –  Tulane's bowling team fell to North Carolina A&T by a 4-1 margin on Thursday afternoon in round one of the United States Bowling Congress (USBC) Intercollegiate Team Championships (ITC) at Kingpin Lanes in Jeffersontown, Kentucky. The Green Wave will now play an elimination game against Webber International on Friday morning.
Tulane started the day by placing fifth with 2478 pins in the first block of the qualify Baker Games. The scores in the first 12 games were 209, 162, 217, 232, 201, 184, 211, 185, 222, 182, 230 and 233.
The Green Wave recorded 2353 pins in the second block of the qualifying Baker Games to fall to 10th overall with 4831 pins in the first 24 games and get matched up with No. 7 seeded North Carolina. The scores in the second 12 games were 199, 267, 177, 178, 193, 243, 175 and 212, 155, 175, 192 and 187.
With the team seeded 10th, Tulane took on No. 7 seed North Carolina A&T in the first round with the program falling by a 4-1 margin.
Tulane will now play an elimination match up with Webber International on Friday morning at 6:45 a.m. The winner of that best-of-seven Baker will face off against North Carolina A&T in round four of the double elimination tournament.
