
Green Wave Set to Compete in 2024 Cancun Challenge

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball will hit the Caribbean to begin Thanksgiving week competing in the 2024 Cancun Challenge on November 26-27 at the Hard Rock Hotel Riviera Maya.

Games will take place at the all-inclusive resort with teams and fans in walking distance to the converted ballroom that hosts the tournament. The Green Wave is part of the four-team Riviera Division, joining Belmont, Loyola Marymount, and Wyoming. Tulane is slated to play two games in Cancun beginning with Wyoming on Tuesday, November 26, at 5 p.m. CT. The games of the Riviera Division are set to be broadcast on CBS Sports Network.

The Wave has never played in the Cancun Challenge which dates back to 2007. The men's tournament features two division: the Riviera Division which Tulane will be competing in and the Mayan Division which will feature Bethune-Cookman, Gardner-Webb, North Dakota, and Southeastern Louisiana.

"We are pleased to draw another intriguing mix of teams to the Cancun Challenge. These matchups are attention-getters, as we feature a competitive environment that teams love to see before the conference schedule begins," said Sarah Molina, Cancun Challenge director.
