Tulane Announces Football Promotions, Highlighted by Uptown Kickoff

NEW ORLEANS - Tulane Athletics announced the themes for the 2024 football schedule today, which will include the first ever Uptown Kickoff game on August 29.
College football in Louisiana begins in New Orleans this year as Green Wave Football hosts Southeastern Louisiana on Thursday, August 29 in the first ever Uptown Kickoff game at 7 p.m. The Uptown Kickoff is an opportunity for football fans to celebrate the start of the college football season in Louisiana with an in-state match-up at Yulman Stadium. The first 5,000 fans will receive an Uptown Kickoff koozie, there will be a live band in the gate B plaza pregame, as well as food and drink specials during the game. Fans can purchase a special Uptown Kickoff 4-pack to attend the game that includes 4 tickets and a parking pass starting at just $50. To purchase the Uptown Kickoff 4-pack, fans can click HERE.

Sept. 7 vs. Kansas State – Yulman Stadium 10th Anniversary: This game will be an opportunity to celebrate the 10th anniversary of the first game in Yulman Stadium, which took place on Sept. 6, 2014. Key stakeholders who played a prominent role in bringing Tulane Football back to Uptown will be honored, and some of the biggest moments of the stadium will be relived throughout the game. The first 10,000 fans at the game will also get a commemorative Yulman Stadium 10th Anniversary rally towel, sponsored by Coca-Cola.
Sept. 28 vs. USF – Hall of Fame Weekend: The seven members of the 2024 Tulane Athletics Hall of Fame Class will be honored throughout the game, and the first 2,500 fans at the game will receive a throwback mini football helmet, sponsored by Children's Hospital New Orleans.
Oct. 19 vs. Rice – Military Appreciation: Tulane will honor the brave men and women who have served our country throughout the annual Military Appreciation game. Active duty military and veterans can get free tickets to the game through VetTix while supplies last. Fans can provide additional free tickets to military and veterans by making a donation through the Seats for Service program. Every $5 donated provides a free ticket for military, veterans, and their family to attend the game. The first 500 military and veterans at the game with official ID will receive a commemorative coin, and the first 4,000 fans at the game will receive a camo Green wave hat, sponsored by Standard Mortgage.
Nov. 9 vs. Temple – Wave Weekend: Tulane's Wave Weekend combines both Homecoming and Family Weekend as alumni and family from around the world return to New Orleans for a weekend of festivities, highlighted by the Green Wave Football game against Temple on Saturday. Fans are encouraged to wear green to match the team since this will also be a Green Out game, and the first 10,000 fans at the game will receive a set of green thundersticks, sponsored by Terminix.
Nov. 28 vs. Memphis – Senior Day/Thanksgiving: Fans are encouraged to celebrate Thanksgiving at Yulman Stadium this year as Tulane Football will honor its senior class prior to kickoff with an on-field ceremony featuring head coach Jon Sumrall and the families of each Green Wave senior.
