Green Named CUSA Beach Volleyball Scholar Athlete of the Year

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University beach volleyball junior Samantha Green was selected as the Conference USA Scholar Athlete of the Year for beach volleyball, as announced by the league.

The award, voted on by the conference's nine faculty athletic representatives, is presented to the top student-athlete in each conference-sponsored sport based on academic achievement, athletic achievement, and service.

Green was a standout for the Green Wave on the sand and in the classroom during the 2023-24 campaign. She was named an AVCA Top Flight award winner and earned CUSA First Team honors alongside her teammate Skylar Ensign after the pair set the program record for wins in a season with 32.

Away from the competition on the sand, the Long Island, New York, native boasted a 3.88 cumulative grade point average to earn the CUSA Commissioner's Academic Medal and land on the CUSA Commissioner's Honor Roll.
