NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University men's basketball released its non-conference schedule Wednesday for the 2024-25 campaign. The Green Wave will play 13 games in its non-conference slate including eight contests at home.
The 2024-25 non-conference schedule for the Wave features five teams from the state of Louisiana and two from the neighboring state of Mississippi.
Fans can get their first look at the Wave on Friday, October 25, when Tulane hosts Spring Hill College for its lone exhibition game in Avron B. Fogelman Arena in the Devlin Fieldhouse.
The regular season for the Green Wave will open with a three-game homestand beginning with Louisiana Christian College in the season-opener on Monday, November 4.
Up next, the Wave will host another team from the Pelican State as Louisiana-Monroe visits Uptown on Friday, November 8.
Tulane will conclude its opening home-stand on Monday, November 11, against the Alcorn State Braves.
The first road test of the season for the Green Wave will come on Friday, November 15, as the Wave visits Furman in Greenville, South Carolina.
Leading into the Thanksgiving holiday Tulane returns to Uptown for back-to-back home games against Bethune-Cookman and crosstown foe New Orleans. The Wave will host Bethune Cookman on Tuesday, November 19, as part of the Cancun Challenge before welcoming New Orleans into Fogelman in Devlin on Friday, November 22.
Tulane is set to spend Thanksgiving week in Mexico competing in the Cancun Challenge for the first time in the 16-year history of the event. The Green Wave will open the Cancun Challenge against Wyoming on Tuesday, November 26, before facing either Loyola Marymount or Belmont on Wednesday, November 27.
Following the holiday the Wave will be back home to host another in-state opponent hosting Southeastern Louisiana on Monday, December 2.
On Saturday, December 7, Tulane will face its only remaining true road test of the non-conference slate when it travels to Fairfax, Virginia, to square off against George Mason.
An old rival will visit Uptown on Tuesday, December 10, when the Wave hosts Southern Miss in Fogelman in Devlin. This will mark the 82nd all-time meeting between Tulane and the Golden Eagles with the Green Wave holding the advantage 44-37.
Tulane is set to hit the road one more time during its non-conference schedule as it will meet Florida State in Miami, Florida, for a neutral site contest on Saturday, December 14.
The Green Wave will conclude the non-conference slate at home against another crosstown foe hosting Dillard for the second year in a row on Friday, December 20.
