
Wave Set to Host Baldwin Wood Regatta Saturday

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing returns home to host the Baldwin Wood regatta on the waters of Lake Pontchartrain on Saturday, November 1. The Green Wave will aim to sweep its final home regatta of the fall for the second consecutive year.

The Baldwin Wood regatta will feature teams from four different programs including the Wave, Texas, Rice, and Louisiana Tech. Tulane will field eight teams on the water while Rice will have four and Texas will have two.

On Saturday the regatta will consist of a maximum of 10 races in a single division of competition. Racing is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. on Lake Pontchartrain with the final race beginning no later than 4 p.m.

Last fall the Green Wave dominated the Baldwin Wood fleet races claiming the top four spots in the standings. The duo of Ryan Ehnot and Parker Kumler highlighted the regatta last fall for Tulane finishing first overall in the field of 15 teams with 17 total points through 10 races.

LAST WEEK
The Wave swept the SEISA Fall Championships for the sixth consecutive time in Corpus Christi, Texas. Tulane claimed its seventh-straight title in the women's championship by a 34-point margin while also winning the open championship for the sixth year in a row by a total of 66 points.
