ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – Skipper Kelly Holhus led Tulane University sailing to a third-place finish in the ICSA Match Race National Championship racing with crews Sabrina Anderson, Christian Ebbin, Lillie Foster, and Martha Hughes over the weekend. The Green Wave sailors earned third place in the championship regatta by collecting four total victories across the two days of racing.
Tulane picked up wins over Illinois, Brown, Navy, and Boston College to end the championship with a winning percentage of 57. The Wave was able to claim third place because it earned victories over two of the other teams in the field that also finished with winning percentage of 5, Brown and Boston College.
Up next, the Green Wave will wrap up its fall campaign at the Rose Bowl Open Fleet Race in Long Beach, California. The final regatta of the fall will be held on January 3-4.
