Tulane Goes 2-0 on Friday with wins over UNO and Nicholls State

NEW ORLEANS, LA – The Tulane men's tennis team came away with a pair of wins Friday afternoon at the City Park Tennis Facility by defeating crosstown foe UNO 5-2 and instate opponent Nicholls State 4-0.
The Green Wave improved to 4-8 overall, while UNO drops to 7-6 and Nicholls State to 6-5 on the season. In the first match the Olive and Blue secured the doubles point before clinching the match in singles play.
Tulane secured singles wins versus UNO at Nos. 1 (Petrovic), 2 (El Kordy), 3 (Vohl), and 6 (Rice) to top the Privateers. El Kordy's 7-6 (7-4), 2-6, 6-0 victory on court 2 clinched the match for the Wave.
In the second match of the day, the Green Wave also won the doubles point before dominating singles.
Tulane wins in the singles versus Nicholls State came at Nos. 1 (Petrovic), 2 (El Kordy) and 3 (Gaudin) to top the Colonels. El Kordy also clinched the nightcap with a 6-1, 6-4 victory on court 2 for the Wave.
The Green Wave is back in action Sunday versus Middle Tennessee State at 1pm at City Park Tennis Facility. Live stats will be available for the matchup.
