
Women’s Basketball Has Two Selected To CSC’s Academic All-District Team ®

The Tulane women's basketball program saw two of its student-athletes honored nationally as members of the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District ® Division I Women's Basketball Team, the organization announced recently
Tulane's two Women's Basketball Academic All-District selections this year are graduate student Victoria Keenan and junior Amira Mabry. This is the second selection for Mabry at Tulane
Overall, Tulane now has had a total of seven Academic All-District selections since 2000 (Britt Themann – 2002, Britt Themann – 2003, Jamie Kaplan – 2014, Irina Parau – 2024 and Amira Mabry – 2024).
Keenan put up 10 points and 4.4 rebounds per game in her first year at Tulane after transferring to the program. She led the conference and ranked 16th nationally in three-point percentage (42.9) plus was second in the league and 20th nationally in made threes. Additionally, Keenan also totaled 48 steals this season.
Mabry averaged 10.9 points and 6.3 rebounds per game in her third season with the Green Wave. She also shot 51.8 percent from the field.
In order to be a member of the CSC's Academic All-District Team, both student-athletes needed to have a cumulative grade-point average of 3.50 or above, be a sophomore or higher in academic class plus are required to have participated in at least 90 percent of the team's competitions this season or start at least 66 percent of the team's games.
The College Sports Communicators, formerly the College Sports Information Director of America, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes women's basketball honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
The two Academic All-District ® honorees now advance to the CSC Academic All-America® ballot. First and second-team Academic All-America ® honorees will be announced on April 16.
Tulane's women's basketball team had an 17-13 overall record with a 9-8 mark in AAC play during the 2024-25 season. The program brought home multiple conference awards this year, including Kendall Sneed taking Freshman of the Year honors and a spot on the All-Freshman Team. Sherese Pittman was named to the AAC's All-Conference First Team and the All-Newcomer Team. Kyren Whittington earned a spot on the AAC's All-Conference Second Team, and Sadie Shores being named to the All-Freshman Team.
