
Tulane Takes Fourth & Eighth at Road Regattas

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing recorded yet another top-five finish this spring season as racing finished in a pair of road regattas on Sunday. The Green Wave landed fourth at the Marchiando Trophy Team Race and ended the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race Trophy in eighth.
On the waters of the Charles River in the Marchiando Trophy Team Race Tulane secured fourth place among eight teams in the regatta. The Wave finished competition with an 11-10 overall.
Skippers Hamilton Barclay, Christian Ebbin, Zander King, and Kelly Holthus teamed with crews CJ Ricci, Alex Makoid, Sabrina Anderson, Elizabeth Struve, Taylor Bartell, and Parker Kumler to earn wins over Rhode Island, Bowdoin, Tufts, MIT, and Stanford.
In the Dellenbaugh Women's Team Race Trophy regatta the Green Wave finished with a 5-9 record to finish in eighth among 10 teams in the field. Skippers Gabriella Vassel, Ava Anderson, Oakley Cunningham, and Sammie Gardner combined with crews Essie Clifton, Ella May Corckran, Caitlin Briggs, Cate Anderson, and Hope Breslin to finish with wins over Tufts, Harvard, Cornell, College of Charleston, and MIT.
Up next, Tulane will return to New Orleans to host the SEISA Conference Championships from Friday to Sunday, April 4-6. The championships will be held on the waters on Lake Pontchartrain.
