
Tulane Host SEISA Conference Championships this Weekend

NEW ORLEANS – Tulane University sailing will hold its first and only home regatta of the spring this weekend as it hosts the SEISA Conference Championships on Lake Pontchartrain from Friday to Sunday, April 4-6. The regatta will feature the open and women's fleet race championships and the open and women's team race championships.

Tulane will aim to sweep the SEISA Conference Championships for the fifth consecutive season. The Wave finished first in all four disciplines of the championship regatta last spring on April 6, 2024, in Austin, Texas.

Alongside the Green Wave in the SEISA championships will be teams from Rice, Texas A&M, Texas A&M Corpus Christi, Texas A&M Galveston, and Texas.

Competition will begin with the women's fleet race championship on Friday at 2 p.m. On Saturday teams will return to the water for the women's team race, open team race, and open fleet race championships. Racing will begin at 10 a.m. If necessary, regatta will continue Sunday at 10 a.m.
