Doubles Play Powers Green Wave at Blue Gray Invite

BIRMINGHAM, AL – Tulane's men's tennis team finished its three days of competition at the Blue Gray Invite on Sunday in Birmingham and its doubles team of Daniel Phillips and Alec Gaudin emerged victorious in three of its matches.
Over the course of the weekend, the Green Wave won two of three matches against Georgia Tech on Saturday and Rice on Sunday.
Phillips and Gaudin got on the board first with an 8-4 doubles win over North Alabama's Lachlan Brain and Satori Nakajima.
On Saturday, Hady ElKordy took down Alabama's Vit Kalina 6-4, 6-7 (3), 6-3. In the Gray Draw, Philips bested Tech's Richard Biagiotti (6-3, 6-3) and teamed with Gaudin to knock off Biagiotti and Elias Shokry 8-6.
Against the Owls, Phillips defeated Rafael Botran 5-7, 7-6 (2), 6-2 and, once again, partnered with Gaudin in an 8-3 win over Botan and partner Gabriel Porras.
Tulane is back in action this weekend at the Youngsville Invite.
